Mr Low Kwee Peng began his teaching journey in Ministry of Education (MOE) schools in 2001. His extensive experience within the Singapore education system has given him a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by Junior College (JC) students. For more than a decade, he worked as a full-time classroom tutor, during which many students successfully reached their A-Level chemistry objectives under his mentorship.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Mr Low Kwee Peng has refined his teaching methods, integrating modern educational techniques to help students understand the intricacies of chemistry.
Be it physical or organic chemistry, Mr Low Kwee Peng is able to break down complex questions step by step and help us tackle it when we are stuck. Through his method of teaching, I learnt what the thinking process for different question types is like and how to solve it logically and not be shocked by the overwhelming information given to us. I used to be intimidated by higher-order questions like elucidation but after ample practice on similar questions that are carefully compiled over the years, including older questions beyond the TYS and other schools, I became familiar with the style of questions and chemistry became more enjoyable. Mr Low checks in with us from time to time on our school’s progress in chemistry to make sure we get adequate help if needed. Sometimes he also rewards us with little treats to give us the encouragement we need. More importantly, he is approachable and open to questions be it F2F or via WhatsApp. I like how he makes us think aloud before correcting us, instead of simply giving us the answer. All in all, Mr Low is able to train us into critical thinking students that know how to apply chemistry concepts swiftly and accurately, an essential skill needed to effectively deal with the tight time duration during exams.

Mr Low was always willing to answer my questions! Whenever I felt stuck or confused about a concept, I could WhatsApp him to seek clarification. This accessibility was immensely beneficial in navigating challenging questions, particularly during revision periods. Moreover, the easy-to-digest notes were invaluable study aids, allowing me to review key information more efficiently. Overall, I believe one of the main reasons I survived A-Level H2 Chemistry was due to Mr Low's support!

I always knew that I was in good hands. Mr Low always went the extra mile to reply to us even during late nights and made sure that we were well prepared for our exams and prepared his materials according to our exam schedule. Every revision was thoroughly done and this helped me to easily identify the way to phrase my answers which allowed me to gain the upper hand against my peers
