In tutoring a diverse range of students pursuing MOE, IB, IGCSE, HKDSE, and AEIS English Language syllabuses, I have been able to expand my knowledge base, refine my pedagogical skills to address different areas of concern, and cover a vast range of EL curriculum.
My students have shown marked improvements in their confidence levels, oral skills, and Creative & Analytical writing skills as I help them refine their grasp of appropriate grammar rules and expand their vocabulary.

I am elated to achieve an A2 for my O-level exam. When I first enrolled with Ms Elizabeth, I struggled to improve my English, as I had only gotten a B3/B4 for English throughout secondary school.
She gave me various lesson materials for comprehension/writing, which I struggled with the most. I could freely send essays and comprehension practices for her feedback, helping me avoid repeating the same mistakes, which I believe helped boost my EL scores.

Teacher Elizabeth has been a really helpful tutor in my secondary school journey. Having been taught by her for the entirety of the four years, she has displayed a strong willingness to support her students academically. Her method of teaching is catered to every student’s interest, and she has actually inspired me to take more initiative for my own studies. Ms Chong is aware of the exam standards. As she keeps herself updated with the most recent education news and familiarises herself with the criteria that the Cambridge markers use, she knows what is expected of a high achieving answer. This, combined with her immaculate teaching skills, she will sharpen your exam skills for you to get your desired mark.
More importantly, Ms Chong is a patient teacher. When I made mistakes, she addressed them accordingly in a manner that I could understand. If one explanation did not suffice, she would tolerantly find other ways to explain until I understood.
For those students who are worried about the amount of homework she gives, you will be pleased to hear that she is a “own time own target” kind of teacher. You can do however much homework at your own pace, and Ms Chong will adapt accordingly.
If you are a student who needs guidance and support in English, Ms Chong is a great teacher. She turned my B4 grade in Secondary 3 End-of-Year exams to an A2 in O-levels! I could not have done it without her assistance and resources.

My overall experience with Mdm Chong has been beneficial for my learning. Since I was young, languages were not my forte. I could pass my examinations, but they were short of excellence, and fell short of my expectations.
However, when Mdm Chong began tutoring me, my English results improved significantly, from B3 to an A2+ on average. With her help, I have been able to identify several mistakes in my writing such as sentence fragments, sentence run-offs etc. , and additionally answer questions I would normally struggle with in the past.
I would recommend Mdm Chong to students who are struggling with their English subject, as not only is her teaching style strict and firm, but also because she is able to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
