Higher Nucleus Learning Studio is an MOE-registered tuition centre at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 588179, a two-minute walk from Beauty World MRT, running small-group A-Level classes in H2 Chemistry, H2 Mathematics and H2 Biology, near Hwa Chong Institution and National Junior College. H2 Economics, H2 Physics and General Paper are taught at the Bishan branch.
Taught by full-time specialist tutors including Terence Chia (H2 Mathematics), Dr Reginald Thio and Low Kwee Peng (H2 Chemistry) and Alex Xu (H2 Biology), with JC1 and JC2 classes on weekday evenings and across the weekend.
Our Bukit Timah branch sits along the Upper Bukit Timah corridor, one of Singapore's densest JC catchment areas. Several Junior Colleges are within a short commute.
HCI is a short walk or one bus stop along Bukit Timah Road. Many HCI students attend our weekday evening and Saturday sessions across all subjects.

2026 is a transition year for the sciences. SEAB lists both syllabuses as examined in 2026, with 9729 Chemistry, 9744 Biology and 9749 Physics in their final year of examination. JC2 students sitting the A-Levels in November 2026 follow those codes. JC1 students, who sit in 2027, follow the revised 9476 Chemistry, 9477 Biology and 9478 Physics syllabuses. Every class at Bukit Timah can be attended live from home over Zoom. Students keep the same tutor, the same materials and the same weekly slot, so a long journey or a clash with CCA does not mean dropping the subject.
Both centres are fitted with smartboards. Everything the tutor writes and annotates goes straight to the online feed rather than being filmed off a whiteboard, so students at home read the working as clearly as the students in the room, and follow it closely enough to retain it.

The Bukit Timah branch runs classes on five days: Tuesday 19:00 to 21:00, Thursday 19:00 to 21:00, Friday 19:00 to 21:00, Saturday 09:30 to 18:00 and Sunday 09:00 to 13:15. The full class schedule above lists every class with its day, time, level and tutor.

Yes. Hwa Chong Institution is a short walk or one bus stop away along Bukit Timah Road. National Junior College is also nearby via Upper Bukit Timah Road buses or the Downtown Line. Many HCI and NJC students attend the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening classes directly after school.

The earlier the better, but it is never too late. Students who join in JC1 build fundamentals properly and tend to stay ahead. JC2 students who join after Promotional Exams or mid-year results can still see significant improvement with focused exam preparation. The earlier gaps are identified, the more time there is to close them.
Each two-hour lesson is structured around the MOE syllabus: concept teaching, guided practice on exam-standard questions, and personalised feedback. Students receive notes, summaries and practice materials. Teachers also provide WhatsApp consultation support between lessons.
Yes. Higher Nucleus Learning Studio is a registered education centre with the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore. The teaching team comprises current and former MOE Junior College teachers with up to 25 years of full-time experience. You can meet our educators on the team page.
Yes. All lessons are taught at the physical venue, and students who need to attend remotely on a particular day can join the same class live via Zoom. Both centres are fitted with smartboards, so the tutor's written working and annotations are sent directly to the online feed rather than filmed off a whiteboard, which makes remote lessons easier to follow and to retain. Higher Nucleus also has a branch at Bishan. Students may attend whichever location is more convenient.
Yes. The second branch is at 260 Bishan Street 22, #B1-295, Singapore 570260, within walking distance of Bishan MRT on the North-South and Circle Lines.
